Am Lam Ninh Van Bay Resort, Nha Trang, Vietnam

Little can compare to the spectacular view from your private villa at the brand new Epikurean Resorts in Vietnam.

A 10 minute speed-boat ride will get you there from the Nha Trang shore, after a smooth ride in your chauffeur driven-BMW X5, complete with cool towls after a long flight, and even music track thats been tuned to the views along the way. Apirational travel – just stepped up a notch.

I was so impressed by this level of coordination, I asked for a copy of the soundtrack to be emailed to me – I’m listening to it now as I write this piece. It’s just what you expect from super-luxe accom these days. Its the little something extra that makes a difference.

The boat ride across is short and spectacular.

The mountainous region is a dramatic background to the the constant sun glimmering on the outstretch of water. In the distance – Epikurean Resort awaits.

The Resort itself is relatively small with a scattering of villas purched on the beach and huge mountains which hug the horizon. The feel is open and fresh – internal materials offer lots of timber, stone, lava rock, terrazzo; whilst the landscaping proudly features native flora – a palette easy on the eye and is unpretentious. It has an eco-friendly feel without bordering on ‘shabby’.

Villas are equiped with a plunge pool, outdoor shower, lounge-swing, day-beds, esspresso machine and of course – accessory de jour; your own personal butler.

This is glamour. However, dont think you have to wait for your honeymoon to enjoy this kind of vaykay – grab the girls and stay for the weekend. Families – no problem. Actually, during my stay most of the guest were under 35′ers. That’s saying something about what we are looking for in a holiday these days – shorter, but better, more indulgence!

“Our guests can be as active or as relaxed as they desire… For the more active guest, there are some great nature trails.  If you would like to explore the region, we will be happy to arrange for you to visit local temples, the markets, or small villages so you can experience the local way of life”.
says Resort Manager, Rob Thomson.

He goes on to explain  ”We are about making your dream holiday happen”.

Hang-out by the infinity pool, next to the main open-air restaurant, spend an hour or two in the day spa, or take the day to cruise around on the resort’s sail boat – with a touch of snorkelling, hiking or just chilling on the beach. Let your everyday problems get washed ashore and thoroughly enjoy being.

Seems like this group really does live up to their moto: Indulging In & Enhancing the Art of Good Living. Which begs the question, when was the last time you felt like indulging in life?

      • Hi Lauren

I came across your blog when looking up An Lam Ninh and found it very useful. The prices and information you gave are not to be found on internet booking services. Many don’t even say breakfast is included. :-(

Do you know if it’s possible to contact the resort direct to book? If so, would you have the details at all?

        Many thanks!

        Paula

  2. I go through your posting along with found fascinating tips. Tibidabo is really a mountain overlooking Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. At 512 meters is it doesn’t tallest mountain in the Serra de Collserola. Rising sharply to your north-west, it affords spectacular views in the city and the encircling coastline. There is an leisure park, a telecommunications tower (Torre de Collserola), and a Catholic religious organization, the Temple de Sagrat Cor, at the top, all of which are visible from a lot of the city. Designed by Enric Sagnier, the church took 60 years to create and is topped by the sculpture of the Sacred Heart by Josep Miret Llopart. The Amusement park could be the oldest in Barcelona and retains almost all of the original rides, some of which date on the turn of the 20th century. Love to show advice about journey.
