Beautiful British Columbia… and Vancouver, Canada
Vancouver is commonly known as an adult’s playground. If you are looking for an active holiday there are thousands of mountains to climb, roads and trails to bike and lakes to swim in. Or, if you’re looking for fantastic food and cocktails in a beautiful waterfront city… here is our perfect Vancouver holiday itinerary, combining a mix of activity, food and culture.
1. Burn 1000+ calories, and sweat it out up by hiking up the Grouse Grind. Don’t forget your hiking shoes (running shoes will suffice), Lulu lemon’s or shorts and a tank and be prepared to sweat!
2. Walk a suspension bridge – we love Lynn Canyon’s suspension bridge because there are swimming holes on the other side where you can escape the tourists and cool off on a hot summer’s day.
3. Bike the Seawall – Vancouver’s paved waterfront path that circles the entire city.
5. Summer holiday? Adventure to one or all of the beautiful southern Gulf Islands (Galiano, Saltspring, Main Island or Pender Harbour), venture to wine country in the Okanagan valley. There are hundreds of vineyards to stay at. We love Burrowing Owl in Osoyoos. Or go surfing in Tofino on Vancouver Island. These are our top favorite getaways if you plan on exploring outside the city.
Eat / Drink
There are way too many great restaurants in Vancouver to mention, so here are a few new and a few oldies that we love:
