10 Stylish Tips and Advice for sassy, young women
by Lauren Resnick, author of Princess With A Backpack
- Make sure you get a hassel-free haircut before you leave, there is no fun in having to blow-dry your hair everyday.
- Give yourself at least two days in a city and give each country at least two weeks, that way you get to explore all the best stores and meet fabulous people.
- Buy travel insurance to protect against travel plan changes, health issues or theft, that way if you loose your Blackberry you won’t have to stress about buying a new one.
- The cheapest and even most stylish European cities to fly in and out of are London, Zurich, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam. Find cheap fares at www.sta.com
- Pack a light scarf in summer or a pashmina in winter. It instantly boosts your outfit.
- You can score free drinks if you tell a bartender you’ll dance on the bar! Which is great for burning off that crosoiant you ate at breakfast!
- Land free accomodation by offering to work at the hostel where you stay.
- Book a Busabout Explorer if you want to be in a hop-on, hop-off network that’s designed for people who like to live spontaneously See www.busabout.com.
- Look for women-friendly hotels. Some places now have special rooms designed with the female traveler in mind. The rooms may even be in a safer location, not down a long hallway or facing a deserted car park.
- Travel with a ziplock bag of mixed fruits and dried fruit in case you get stranded without immediate access to food. This will keep you looking trim, healthy and fabulous!

I am planning a trip to Thailand. I need a lot of rest, relaxation and cute boys. Do you have any accommodation hot-spots?
Hi Nicole!
Sounds like an awesome trip…. have you thought about specific locations in Thailand? How long will you be there for? Let me know and I can get back to you!

Do you think this really works? Comments pls.
Hello Nicole,
I suggest you to go to Koh Samui, the home of wellness retreats for relaxation, but also for night life, plenty of bars where to meet nice people. If Lauren agrees, I can send you a travel proposal, I just need to know your exact travelling period, how many people and if possible your budget.
Have a look at my website Classyfrontiers and send me an inquiry by our form or by email. Looking forward to hear from you!

I stayed in Bangkok for a night at Le Meridien Hotel- funky chic hotel, reasonably priced and then ended up visiting a friend in Koh Phangan. I went to Agarma yoga school, which was fantastic. Any one interested in yoga and meditation… I highly recommend! Thanks again. Nicole.
