Located in prime position in the centre of Saigon, the Caravelle hotel is the ideal place for a Saigon stay. As I only had one night in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), I needed to ensure it was not only a safe location, but great area for going out, shopping, dinning, sight-seeing.. and of course shopping.
Due for a major design overhaul early next year, this hotel still has the old charm of its glory days. It was even the hot-spot hotel for Journalists during the Vietnam War. Journalists reporting from ‘Nam would sit at the rooftop bar and enjoy the view of the city… it was their local. How great to be a part of that history.
